Argon Wine Preservers
Pure argon is the bartender's trick for keeping an open bottle of wine fresh. Heavier than air and completely inert, it settles over the wine and seals out the oxygen that turns a good bottle flat within a day or two.
How it works
One short blast displaces the air over the wine (or fills the headspace of a by-the-glass system) and forms a protective blanket. Argon is tasteless and non-reactive, so it never changes the aroma, structure, or flavor — the last glass pours just like the first.
What it's for
- Restaurants and bars running by-the-glass programs
- Wine shops and tasting rooms
- Anyone who wants to enjoy an open bottle over days, not hours
